Ghaffar Diwan – CEO: TMR Mining & Exploration Pvt Ltd
Ghaffar Diwan is a seasoned executive with a career spanning over four decades. He began managing manufacturing and trading businesses in 1979, before moving into mine ownership in 2012 with the development and operation of an iron ore mine in Chile. Since then, his involvement in the mining sector has expanded to strategic roles in, or partnerships with, mining projects around the world. These have included positions as an owner, shareholder, and advisor on ventures in countries such as Tanzania, the DRC, and Turkey.
Driven by a belief in Pakistan’s untapped mining potential, Ghaffar recently returned to contribute his expertise to the local industry. Under his leadership, TMR Mining & Exploration Pvt Ltd now advises and develops businesses working in strategic, bulk, and critical metals, including iron ore, copper, gold, manganese, chromite, and zinc/lead.
Technical Director – Daniel Bloor: B.Sc., M.Sc. (Applied Geoscience)
Daniel is a qualified engineering geologist with over fifteen years of experience in the mineral industry plus a further seven years in the UK financial industry. Having worked across a broad range of commodities globally Daniel has moved into a consulting and advisory role focusing on due diligence and independent technical assessments of projects for investment purposes. Since co-founding TMR Daniel has been involved in the corporate day to day activities of many listed and private mining companies, miningfocused funds and government bodies globally with a core focus on the commodities critical to the energy transition.
Senior Resource Geologist – Andrew: B.Sc., M.Geol., MAusIMM
Andrew has over thirteen years of experience in mining, exploration and resource estimation. His extensive practical background spans projects in copper, gold, silver, platinum, palladium, lithium, zinc, chromite and tungsten in both open pit and underground operations.
Andrew’s involvement across the full mining project cycle includes early-stage target generation, greenfield and brownfield exploration, project studies, mine development, reconciliation and closure planning. His adaptive learning style suits any geological setting, and his ability to interpret information holistically helps unlock the true potential of mineral deposits.
Senior Mining Engineer, Will Coverdale: B.Eng. , MBA, MAusIMM
Will is a qualified Mining Engineer with over thirteen years of experience across both underground and open cut mining in a broad range of commodities. His underground expertise includes large sub-level caving in copper and gold, board and pillar mining in coking coal, remnant mining in gold, and cut and fill mining in gold. His wider technical background spans uranium, iron ore, high-grade silica and additional gold projects. Will’s international experience includes Australia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and the Philippines, giving him a strong understanding of different geological and operational environments.
